DESCRIPTION: Appears at first glance as a clean cut, Latino. He has shoulder length hair that he generally keeps in a pony tail at the base of his neck. Howie has soft brown eyes that portray a profound kindness and desire to help. He also has a trimmed goatee and he smiles a lot. He’s usually in a good mood and likes to spread it around. He generally wears practical clothes, but does have a weakness for Armoni, basically designer clothes in general.

INFO: Howie got into SAR as to follow in his father’s footsteps, who was killed in a rescue operation. Howie doesn’t like to talk about it, but it happened when he was young and has effected him his whole life. That is one of the ties he and AJ have, both of them having suffered a great loss early in their lives that influenced their entrance into SAR. Having a deep desire to help people, Howie recieved the highest medical training he could short of becoming a doctor. He enjoys anything having to do with water, especially kayaking and rafting. He has recieved some training as a pilot, learning the basics of helicopter flying. Howie also likes to use his calming effect he tends to have on people when going through a rescue operation. He has a knack for calming a frightened or even hysterical victim.
